With almost a third of our school community being a military family, supporting both the children and parents is a key consideration for us. We work closely with the NFF (Naval Families Federation) and Joining Forces for Families citizens advice.

Bounce Forward are running free workshops on Building Resilience with Military Families, which is aimed at helping parents and children living in military communities to thrive. These 1 hour sessions are taking place on the 31st January, 20th April and 2nd June, with the workshop being available to view at other times if you have registered. Solent Mind are offering a course of 4 workshops to promote and support military partners. They are taking place every Tuesday from 26th April until 17th may between 09:30 and 11:00. More information, including how to book a place, is available on their flyer.
For our children, we have our dedicated service club run by our ELSA Di Bosustow; more details about our Musketeers can be found on our Supporting Our School Community page. Also our Family Liaison Officer, Lisa Noice, works closely with our military families providing support all year round. Thursday 30th June will be the Summer Term’s Musketeers event, taking place between 15:45 and 17:15 outside the cabin. More information is available on this invitation.
We are currently looking for short videos from deployed parents (or those who work away during the week) to create our ‘live’ board. These will be short, personal messages to your child which they will be able to watch during our Musketeer sessions. Please email these through to firstname.lastname@example.org.
