Poppy Appeal Thank you for your support, every poppy counts and your support has made a real difference to those in the Armed Forces community. The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal couldn’t do the work they do without your efforts. Our school community raised £242.89!
Children In Need On Friday 17th November children were invited into school wearing something bright or spotty in exchange for a donation to Children In Need. A furry, special guest came to visit the children and collect the money we had raised, which was almost £200. Thank you to everyone who donated.
Road Safety Week We ran our first Road Safety Shop, during Road Safety Week, where children had the opportunity to purchase items which can help them ‘be bright and be seen’ and we managed to raise a fantastic £187.75!

Thank you to those of you who have previously purchased items from our Amazon wish list, please note that this has been updated – it includes essential items which we use daily in school as well as some ‘extras’ for the children. We hope you will think of us as every little helps.
CHIPS Crofton Hammond Infants School
Eat Them to Defeat Them The Big Chomp‘ is returning on Monday 19th February, each child will receive a reward chart and stickers so they can get involved at home and at school.
Spring Into Action Running between Monday 26th February and Sunday 3rd March, the toolkit provides a collection of daily fun activities for families to enjoy throughout the week when walking, scooting or cycling, all based around the theme of senses.
Sports for Champions We were pleased to welcome into school another Team GB Athlete on Friday 8th March who took the children through a sponsored fitness circuit. Otis McAulifee also talked the children through his career as double mini trampolinist and how he’s also part of the Cirque du Soleil circus troupe. We are pleased to have raised just over £1,500 to put towards some new climbing apparatus.
World Down Syndrome Day On Thursday 21st March children were invited into school wearing their funkiest socks in exchange for a donation to the Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association. It was great to see children and staffing rocking their socks and we raised £75.35! Thank you Crofton Hammond Infant School for your participation.
