Welcome to The Crofton Hammond Infant School Website!
I believe I am very lucky to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school. Everyone who steps into our school comments on the friendly, happy atmosphere and the engagement of the children in their learning. Our school has been judged to be ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, and we are very proud of the standards that our children achieve. We are committed to providing an exciting curriculum that is irresistible to our children, and that is bursting with a wide range of exciting learning opportunities. We make sure that creative arts and PE are very much a part of our curriculum, alongside reading, writing and maths.
Whilst at our school every child will have the opportunity to take part in a full scale drama production at a local theatre, getting a taste of what it feels like to perform on a real stage. They will also take part in an ‘art gallery’project in which we turn the whole school into an art gallery and open it to the public. Every week the children take part in our Forest Schools curriculum and spend time learning in the outdoors. We employ a highly qualified PE and sports coach who teaches our children to the highest standards and they have many opportunities to take part in a wide range of sporting activities.
Our focus is on ensuring that our children develop the learning behaviours they need to equip them to become lifelong learners. Our aim is for all children to become ‘Crofton Hammond Learners’ – to be curious, adventurous, caring, conscientious, unique and most of all to have fun!
If you would like to see our school for yourself please contact the school office and make an appointment to come and meet us all.
